1930 BUGATTI "ROYALE"
HENRY FORD MUSEUM, DEARBORN, MICHIGAN
Ettore Bugatti, artistic creator of dynamic
sports cars in Molsheim, France, demonstrated his
versatility by building six magnificent Type 41
"Royales" between 1927 and 1932; all survive.
Each was designed to be of such size and elegance
that it would shame every other pretentious classic
car. This Bugatti, built in 1930 for Dr. Joseph
Fuchs, was fitted with a custom body by Ludwig
Weinberger in Munich. The 784 cu. in. eight-
cylinder engine will drive the "Royale" up to
125 mph.
