ST. MARY'S COLLEGE, Ilchester, Md. is the House of the
Novitiate for the Redemptorist Fathers of the Eastern
Province. It is situated on the Patapsco River about twelve
miles from the business section of Baltimore. It was
founded in 1868 as a House of Studies. In 1907, the House
of Studies was transferred to Mt. St. Alphonsus, Esopus,
N. Y.
