MURPHY HIGH SCHOOL

one of the largest in the South, was built
1926 at a cost of approximately $1,250,000.
Covering an area of thirty acres in an at-
tractive residential section, its many build
ings of Spanish architecture are silent me-
morials to the bold navigators that reached
these shores in the name of the Spanish Crown.
The different buildings-the Academic, Domes./sea
tic Arts, Manual Arts, Mathematics, Language,
Biology, Boys' and Girls' Gymnasiums, Audi-
torium, and Band Room, Cafeteria, Technical
School, along with modern provisions for all
sports, and its beautiful campus make a plant
of which the city is proud.
