FIRST PASSENGER SHIP OF THE GERMAN AIRSHIP
TRANSPORT CO., A SUBSIDIARY OF THE ZEPPELIN AIRSHIP
CO. THE FIRST PASSENGER FLIGHT WAS JUNE 10. 1910. THE
DEUTSCHLAND MADE SEVERAL SUCCESSFUL FLIGHTS BE-
TWEEN FRANKFURT, BADEN-BADEN AND DUSSELDORF,
BEFORE CRASHING IN THE TEUTOBURGER FOREST JUNE
28, 1910. FURNISHED WITH A LUXURIOUS CENTRAL CABIN
AND RESTAURANT, THE LZ 7 WAS THE FORERUNNER OF
THE GREAT PASSENGER ZEPPELINS.
THE DEUTSCHLAND WAS POWERED BY THREE 120 HP
ENGINES, GIVING HER A SPEED OF 37.5 MPH. OTHER DIMEN-
SIONS WERE
