MUCKISH MOUNTAIN (2197 feet), CO. DONEGAL: Falcarragh is
the nearest point from which to climb Muckish Mountain, the
way from the village line through Muckish Gap. The ascent is a
stiff one, but the climber will feel amply rewarded by the magnifi-
cent panorama obtained from the summit. Another promising
excursion is to Altan Lough, one of the wildest, loneliest, and yet
one of the most beautiful of all the mountain lakes of Donegal.
