Advanced engineering features mark new WASHINGTON SPARS Backed by many years of experience in the design and pro- duction of logging equipment, the Washington Iron Works now builds a telescoping steel spar, yarder and self-propelled carrier unit incorporating many engineering advances. Integral Washington yarder may be either a Model 158 or Model 208. Both are of true interlocking design for increased efficiency and speed of operation. Both yarder and carrier are driven by the same 350-hp diesel engine, with torque converter and four-speed transmission, forward and reverse. The new Washington spars have received quick acceptance by leading logging operators.
