NAVAL SUBMARINE BASE, Bangor
The Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE) Bangor is the homeport for the
nine new Trident class submarines. Located on beautiful Hood Canal,
the SUBASE is 155 nautical miles from the Pacific Ocean with access
through the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This 7,000 acre property abounds
in wildlife, requiring the State of Washington to designate a full time
game warden to cover the Base.
