Cactus Oddity, Fasciated Form of Sahuaro

Fasciated forms of Sahuaro, as pictured
here, are the result of some sort of bruise or
wound. It has been observed that when the
surface of the Sahuaro is broken numbers of
branch buds grow out instead of one as in
normal growth; thus forming various interest-
ing symetrical or grotesque shapes.
