A triple deadheat, one of turfdom's rarities, took place at Hollywood Park, the beautiful "track of the lakes and flowers" in Inglewood, Calif., July 3, 1957. Crossing the finish line without a whisker between them were Joes' Pleasure, #6 with Jockey George Taniguchi, on the rail; Leaful, #11 with Bill hermits, in the middle, and Challenger Tom #7, with Bill Shoemaker, on the outside. Hollywood park presents 55 days of thoroughbred racing annually from early May till late July.
