A LIFE SAVER-Against marauding Indians,
this natural fortress was used by the Famous
Scout as a shelter for his troops during the
early days of the West. This great guide and
explorer made his headquarters in Ancient Taos
in Northern New Mexico; and on the plaza
there today s'an's The Kit Carson House, his old
home. Both he and his wife lie buried just
outside the Taos village.
