Tabor's famous Matchless Mine cabin and Baby Doe Tabor, Leadville, Colorado. Tabor, richest of the "silver Kings" became bankrupt in the silver panic of 1893 and died a year later. His words "hang on to the Matchless. It will make millions," prompted Mrs. Tabor to move into the cabin where she lived until her death at age 80 in 1935. The mine never re-opened.
