Natural Color Scenes of the West
SAN FRANCISCO OPERA HOUSE, left, is the nation's
only municipal opera house. Built in 1932, it was the scene of the first
United Nations meeting in May 1945. The opera house seats 3000
and has all modern facilities, including a basement with emergency
hospital and buffet.
