Work on
the great dam creating Lake Walten
paupack was started June 18th, 1924 and finished
1926. The concrete part of dam is 60 feet high
and 877 feet long, besides an earth /fill, with con-
crete core 400 feet long, making totál-length 1273
feet.
There are
two spillways. In the center is ilyen
building containing machinery controlling the two
Boise roller gates each 66.3 feet long and 14 feet
in diameter.
