The new Airport, dedicated Sept. 22, 1973, is the
world's largest and finest. Noted for its passenger
safety, convenience, and park-like atmosphere, the
new facility is revolutionary in design. The opening
phase of the Airport will contain the four terminal
buildings pictured, but up to thirteen "half-loops"
can be constructed. DFW Airport, the first to plan
for aviation needs into year 2000, will play an
important role in the economic growth of North
Texas and will be a major international air center
for passengers and cargo.
