The Delco Radio Division

The Delco Radio Division was started by General Motors in Kokomo, Indiana in 1936. The Division developed push button tuning, signal seeking radios, transistor powered radios, all transistor radios and auto portable all-transistor radios. Delco also produces electronic controls for garage door operators, heater and air-conditioning controls and is developing a highway communication device and a proximity warning device operating on radar principles. |
