The Community Building, one of Salisbury's
Colonial structures, is considered a very fine
example of the grand old colonial buildings
of the South. The auditorium on the second
floor is a rare example of the old time court
room and public gathering place. The corner
column to the left is known as the William
Jennings Bryan Column as it was here that
he delivered his last address in Salisbury.
The building to the right is the Rowan
County Court House. It is one of the best in
the South.
