ERACY, RICHMOND, VA. A name given to it by
reason of the fact that it was the residence of Jefferson
Davis, President of the Confederacy, during the Civil
War. It is now the Confederate Museum, and the shaft
of the famous ironclad, "The Merrimac," is seen lying
in front of it. (See Card No. 64.)
