DEATH VALLEY SCOTTY
This most fabulous character in the whole annals of the Great
Southwest was born in Kentucky in 1872 and died in his multi-
million dollar castle in 1954. It was in 1905 that he startled the
world by scattering gold nuggets and $100 bills from Los Angeles
to New York and for 50 years he continued to make the head-
lines across the Nation. He was often described as the richest
and most successful single handed miner the world has ever
known.
