The intersection of Ross Street and Third Avenue. The
early Town was built on a high rock ridge close to the
mine. In later years the newer subdivisions were located
on more attractive sites, suitable for growing lawns and
gardens. Stacks in the centre of picture are part of a water
pumping station.
