"THE CALIFORNIA AWARD"
The Northern California DX Club, founded in October,
1946, as the FIRST DX CLUB IN THE WORLD!, issues
this Award which consists of a beautiful certificate, to
any licensed Radio Amateur located outside the original
forty-eight (48) States of the U.S.A.
1. Applicants must submit proof of confirmation of qso's
with 220 different California stations. Twenty (20) of
which must be confirmed contacts with different mem-
bers of the Northern California DX Club.
2. All contacts must be dated since October 1, 1946.
Confirmations may be submitted for any band or
mode.
3. Submission of your qsl cards is not necessary. Your
cards may be checked and confirmation certified by
an Officer of any recognized Amateur Radio Society
or Club in the World.
4. All qsl cards or certified lists submitted to the NCDXC
must be in alphabetical order and show date and time
of qso in GMT.
5. The "CALIFORNIA AWARD" is FREE! If qsl cards are
sent to the NCDXC for checking you must include suf-
ficient postage for return of your cards, along with
your application for the award..
6. Special Endosements: The "CALIFORNIA AWARD"
may be issued for specific bands or modes providing
all supporting information is included with your ap-
plication and confirmation list.
7. The NCDXC will furnish current membership lists to
anyone upon request. Send all mail to: California
