WAWONA TREE
The famous Wawona Tunnel Tree is in the
Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, a pleasant
drive of 36 miles from the hotels and camps
in Yosemite Valley. It is 227 feet tall, and
90 feet in circumference at the base. The hole
large enough for passenger vehicles to pass
through, is 26 feet.
