Waco Old Suspension Bridge

| The "Old Suspension Bridge" is built across the Brazos River in downtown Waco. Built in 1870, it still remains in daily use. It was the first bridge over the Brazos and made Waco an important center from East to West. It was built by Roebling of New York, who later patterned and built the Brooklyn Bridge after it. |
