Raphael Tuck & Sons' Oilette postcard titled "Game Birds." Series II, #7622. The front of the postcard features an illustration of a Red Grouse standing on a rock. There is a nest with an egg in the lower left, and heather in the foreground. "Oilette" and the artist's initials, "F.W.K.," are printed in the lower left and right, respectively. The back of the card includes a description of the bird: "Three species of grouse are found in Britain -- the black grouse or blackcock, the wood grouse or capercailzie, and the red grouse shown in the picture, to which the name is usually restricted. It is peculiar to the British area and is most plentiful in the Highlands of Scotland."
