Tennis is a ball game of foreign origin. The date of its
origin is uncertain, but we find frequent mention of it both
in England and abroad during the 13th and 14th centuries.
It is a game which requires a paved and walled court, and
is therefore not so universally played as its more modern
offspring lawn-tennis.
Frinted in England.
