"Out Where The West Begins"
★AMON CARTER MUSEUM OF WESTERN ART
West Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas
The building, designed by Philip Johnson, was opened
to the public in January 1961. Built of Texas shell-stone,
trimmed in bronze, the graceful, dramatic structure over-
looks the city from the west.
The Museum is located adjacent to the Fort Worth
Art Center, Children's Museum and Will Rogers Memorial
Coliseum.
