MONROE COUNTY COURTHOUSE
Paris, Missouri
There is a museum on the first floor, and memorials
to veterans of World Wars I and II. Erected in 1912
of native limestone, this is the third courthouse since
the county was established in 1831. First was a
frame structure; the second, of handmade brick.
Across from the courthouse is a Hotel building of
Pre-Civil War era. A Civil war battle was fought
in the town of Paris.
