The front of the card shows a Confederate memorial with a very tall flag pole, in front of a multi-story brick courthouse. There are palm trees lining the street. The back of the card describes that the Confederate Flag Pole, located in Blakely, GA, was re-erected in 1904, and that the flag pole was made from a single long leaf pine tree in 1861. The back of the card also indicates that the courthouse shown is the only white Confederate brick courthouse standing in the Southern States.

CONFEDERATE FLAG POLE AND COURT HOUSE Standing on the northwest side of Court Square in Blakely, Ga., where it was re-erected when the present white columned brick court house was built in 1904, is the only Confederate Flag Pole now standing in the Southern States. Erected May 16, 1861, the pole was selected from a long leaf pine tree 18 inches in diameter, 90 feet in length and spliced with 10 feet of timber to make it an even 100 feet in height. Having decayed in or near the ground it has been taken down several times and only about 65 feet now remains standing of its original height. Early Co.
