The new Westinghouse Research Laboratories are situated on
a 100 acre site overlooking the Penn-Lincoln Parkway about
10 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The
three-story, L-shaped building contains more than seven acres
of floor area. They are considered among the largest and finest
research facilities in American industry for carrying out basic
and applied research in the physical sciences. The Laboratories
were established in 1904 and moved to this site in 1955.
