No. 1. The Art Alliance by Thornton Oakley
The Philadelphia Art Alliance was incorporated in 1915, and
now occupies the three properties at 1823, 1825, and 1827
Walnut Street. The organization has two major aims; to pro-
vide an art center and market place for works of art, and to
cultivate public appreciation of the arts. All its exhibitions
and the service of a bureau to assist younger musicians are
free to the public.
