The New Bath House and Mineral Springs in Manitou, Colorado. The building is white with a red tile roof, with green lawns and trees in front and a street in the foreground. The "famous balanced rock" is pictured on the back of the card. The text on the back states that General Palmer came to the area after the Civil War. He was impressed with the area and later founded Colorado Springs. The mineral springs were visited by Native Americans long before other people. The water is shipped to many parts of the country and many cures are reported from the radioactive mineral water.

NEW BATH HOUSE AND MINERAL SPRINGS, MANITOU, COLO. General Palmer, after the close of the Civil War, was engaged as a Civil Engineer for the Kansas Pacific and came to the place where he later founded Colorado Springs. He was im- pressed with the possibilities of the region and especially the mineral springs, visited by the Indians long before the white man came. This mineral water is shipped to all parts of the country. Many wonderful cures are reported from the use of the radio-active mineral water.
