Newberry, S. C. has quite a historical background,
as it was first settled by white men in 1745. During the
war of 1776 a young Newberry girl was noted for a
heroic ride delivering an important dispatch to an
American General. Newberry is a progressive city with
an abundance of electric power, plenty of pure water, an
ideal climate and a healthy community.
