Handwritten message: "Dear Mother & Daddy, This is just a card to say we are having a lovely trip. The weather turned very and cool on Thursday about 71. Fully air conditioned and it was just heavenly after sweltering since we left home. All boys have chicken pox here where we are going to spend Xmas. We drove to the North Carolina mountains this afternoon. We plan to visit Bauxnite [sic] and will visit Sal only going & returning. We may go to the Indian reservation at Cherokee, N.C."
