One of the World's largest YMCA's, Brooklyn
Central was founded in 1853. The present building
was dedicated in 1915. Its facilities include 2 swim-
ming pools, 4 fully equipped gyms, a Health Club,
a chapel, an auditorium, and 504 dormitory rooms.
An average of over 1,000 members pass through its
entrance daily to make use of privileges. In the
background is the Williamsburg Savings Bank Build-
ing, Brooklyn's highest office building.
