This postal card was mailed from the Gimbel Restaurant
located on the Seventh Floor of the Gimbel Brothers
Store in Philadelphia. This is just one of the six great
Gimbel Stores; the business which grew from a cross
roads store founded at Vincennes, Indiana in 1842 by Adam
Gimbel to the great American institution the Gimbel
business is today. Other Gimbel Stores are in New York,
Pittsburgh and Milwaukee and the famous
Saks-
Fifth Avenue and Saks-34th Street Stores in New York.
