The Tidelands Motor Inn in Tucson, Arizona, features a large swimming pool, lounge chairs, and palm trees. Guests enjoy the Arizona sunshine.

The back of the postcard has a handwritten message that reads, "Dear Vern, You probably think that we are basking in the sunshine down here, but at the moment we are frozen up like snowballs. It was beautiful and sunny when we arrived, but now we are having some of your same type of weather. Shy and I had a wonderful trip coming from Lincoln, making stops at Wichita, Ft. Worth, Austin, Del Rio, El Paso, and went through the old mining towns to Bisbee and Tombstone before reaching Tucson. Vern, I wanted to tell you how very much I enjoyed seeing you while I was at Norfolk. That day with you in Madison was just grand, and it was nice to ride around with you as we did and to visit Ella and Birdie and to drive past the cemetery, too! All of us were sorry to have the day pass so fast when you came to Norfolk, and it so nice of you to pick Aunt Mary. I wanted to phone you again before leaving Norfolk but time passed so fast. Will we see you in Calif? If not, will count on next summer. Love"
