The King George Inn is the oldest building in
Warren Township. For many years it was a stage
stop on King George's Road, a pre-Revolutionary
highway running from Perth Amboy to Morris-
town. During restoration work of 1953-54, original
hand-hewn beams were uncovered in the Tap
Room. The Dining Rooms are furnished in
authentic period pieces. Closed Mondays.
