a traditional ride from the Golden Age of amuse-
ment devices. Built in 1910, by the master of
them all-Charles I. D. Looff of Denmark-The
Santa Cruz unit carries 62 hand carved horses.
and two Roman Chariots. 30 million people have
ridden the machine in 54 years. As a museum
piece, it would be impossible to reproduce today.
