A view of the Melvin, Illinois Public School building. The school is a three-story brick structure with a pointed roof and a tower. The handwritten message on the back reads, "Dear Edia: Of course down met this eve can you go with us to Melvin Wed. eve. There is the Day we visit. They have a band engaged same as though at Fannie's it would to spend this coming week. Can't wait for next week to over & etc we can't get how you can to spend your week to of visit. Will go home Wed. but I'm going to stay. Let us know whether you would rather, you Lottie."
