The handwritten message on the back reads, "Dear Mrs Priest - am writing to tell you we enjoyed a very pleasant trip home and the family all well. Will and family came on to midday after we arrived, to see them, and all feel fine - hope you and your children are enjoying good health too. Kind regards, Mrs Dawson."
