OLD WATER TOWER
The Milwaukee waterworks tower at the North
Point pumping station was built in 1873 out of
Wisconsin limestone from a Wauwatosa quarry.
The 175 foot tower was designed by a German
architect, Charles A. Gombert. It was permanently
shut down in February, 1942.
