On this site, originally stood the dwelling, in which Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, 1776. Phila., Pa. Depicts a multi-story building with shops on the ground floor, including "Chandler Walden" and "John Vanyeke". People are walking on the street in front of the building. The back has a pre-printed message that reads, "This card I mailed on our arrival yesterday we are all well. John goes to school every day and he is learning fast he can soon write you a letter hope your people are all well. The address is 612 Grant St. Mattie"
