Alakea wharf which was erected in 1910
by the Hon. Marston Campbell, Superinten-
dent of Public Works of Hawaii is one of the
finest docks in the world. It is capable of
berthing two or more of the largest vessels of
trans-Pacific trade at one time. It is double
decked having an upper floor for passenger
traffic. It contains all the most modern
appliances and conveniences.
