Additional Details:
The Cooke Mission House, the first frame house erected in Hawaii, is situated on King Street near the Palace. It was brought around Cape Horn in a sailing vessel with the early missionaries about 1830. Father Cooke, who first occupied the house, taught the great chiefs and kings of Hawaii within its walls. The house is still in a fine state of preservation and contains many interesting relics.
