Hawaiian girls all wear a divided skirt or pa-u when
riding. The side saddle is practically unknown in
Hawaii. The pa-u or skirt is made so that when the
rider advances along the road it streams out, forming a
picturesque sight.
The Hawaiians both men and women are experts
on horseback, and some of the champion cowboys of the
world live in Hawaii.
