Additional Details:
Building dated before 1760, who used as a hospital during the Revolutionary War, many of the wounded from the Battle of Germantown were cared for here. It was burned by the British later on and abandoned for many years but was soon rebuilt, and was a haven for many during the yellow fever epidemic. For many years an inn, it was a favorite stopping-off point for weary travelers coming from Reading, and Bethlehem. Restored to its colonial splendor in 1932, it is now one of the largest and most modern flower shops in the east. "We are pleased to open your account and hope you will enjoy using it in the near future."
