The fantastic plumage of these gorgeous birds is
often used for grotesque displays. It is not fully
attained until the birds have reached an age of
eight to ten years. It is moulted once a year and
in summer the birds are quite plain. They are of
the crow tribe and omnivorous in feeding habits.
