The new building, which has just been erected, is
shown at the left and on the right are the present retail
stores. The buildings are connected by tunnels, which
run under Washington Street. The Marshall Field &
Z Company's stores cover an entire city block, bounded by
Washington, Wabash, State and Randolph Streets, and
they also occupy the new building on the left, which
I covers part of another block.
