Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928-1967) World Revolutionary Hero. Argentinian medical doctor politicized by travels through Latin America. Joined exiled Cuban rebels in Mexico in 1955. Leader in the successful Cuban Revolutionary War (1956-58); then President of Cuban National Bank, and Minister of Industry. Spoke at U.N. in 1964. Later joined revolutionary struggles in Africa & South America. Captured by the Bolivian army on October 8, 1967 & killed the following day.
