Fidel Castro (1926- )
Graduated from Havana Law School where he was in
leftist student organizations. Led revolt against Cuban
dictatorship in 1953 for which he spent 2 years in jail,
Released due to public pressure, led second successful
rebellion 1956-58, and since has led Cuba to socialism
where there is "Not one Hungry Child, Not One Homeless
Person," & where there are more doctors and teachers per
capita than any country. Known for his long, but good,
speeches,
"Mr. Imperialists, We Are Absolutely Not Afraid Of You!"
