The FAIR certainly lives up to M
its slogan, "The World of
morrow"
but I was more
interested in "Fashions of Tomor-
row." Know you will be thrilled with
the definitely NEW styles in Fall
coats, suits, and dresses. Will be back
at the store August 1 . . . won't you
come in and look them over? I'm
certain you'll find something that
you'll not be able to resist buying.

Through a garland of flags the Father of His Country is seen
gazing at the World of Tomorrow. The monumental figure of
George Washington remains a dominant and inspiring feature
of the World's Fair of 1940 in New York. The statue is the
work of James Earle Fraser (a native of Winona, Minnesota)
and stands more than 60 feet high-far taller than the angle
of this photograph would indicate.
